General sales conditions

  1. 1. Claims will only be accepted within eight days of receipt of the shipment.
  2. 2. Cancellation of an already confirmed order is valid only if it is accepted by the Company in writing, and the Company can request reimbursement of any expenses arising from such cancellation.
  3. 3. Sales are always intended as having a retention of title clause (Article 1423 and following of the Italian Civil Code) and goods remain property of STEELES until the agreed upon price is paid in full. Postponement of payments is not allowed. In the instance that the provided materials are pending testing or third-party acceptance, such condition shall be specified in writing when placing the order.
  4. 4. In the instance of any delays in payments, interest shall be accrued at the value of 1.5% per month or fraction of a month.
  5. 5. Shipping cost is calculated to the point closest to the buyer’s address, provided this is in Italy and can be reached by the carrier. Shipping includes unloading of goods, but does not include porterage costs.
  6. 6. The shipping date shall be purely indicative and non-binding: in any case, any delays in delivering goods does not entitle the buyer to compensation or refusal to accept and / or collected the order.
  7. 7. Goods can only be delivered to the buyer’s address. For any specific additional needs, please contact the Company. Goods can only be returned ex works. The buyer shall immediately count all parcels and assess the status of the packaging prior to collecting the order. In the instance that any parcels are missing or damaged, the buyer shall immediately communicate this to the carrier and send a written notice to the Company within 24 hours. In addition to the aforementioned terms, the Company reserves the right to charge any costs to the client.
  8. 8. Any returns of goods shall be previously authorised by the Company in writing. Customers are responsible for correctly packaging their returned goods. In the instance of any damage to the products due to incorrect packaging, the Company reserves the right to charge any repair costs to the client.
  9. 9. The Company reserves the right to visually and technically improve their models, including any changes relating to measurements and materials, without prior notice. Drawings and/or images included in the price list do not define the product details; measurements noted are indicative and might be subject to change.
  10. 10. This falls within the jurisdiction of the Como judicial authority.
